Full Name: Yaska May Rheya Däwngale, of Village #2
Faction: None yet. She will likely seek one on her own time.
TL;DR: She’s got demon powers, scroll down to the RP hook, if you must.
Yaska has tanned skin, brown and reddened by the desert sun. Her hair shines like metal, it is a very light, almost fluorescent white-blonde hair. Her hair falls to her mid-back, except for her bangs which could cover her face if she didn’t keep them parted on the left. She was short in her hometown, but here she’s average at 5’4″.
Yaska came from a simple culture. She wears only leather hides, and on warm days does not wear anything above the waist. Yaska prefers short pants or a loincloth to other clothing. Overall, her skin and clothing make her look like fifty shades of brown, with bright shiny hair. Yaska’s eyes are deep maroon, and they turn bright red when her heart rate increases.
Yaska is built like a tank. Chloe is known for her Viking-like build, and Yaska is very similar with some important differences. Chloe is Solune, and compensates for her race’s physical deficiencies with her size and self injecting her powers. Yaska is Plainkind, a race engineered by the Servant of Birth to be the ultimate being. Her muscles look soft, smooth and feminine, but when in action they bulk up and become Hard as Iron. The Demon powers have granted her muscles backup muscles, working efficiently together to make her about 30% stronger than your Olympic body builder.
Yaska is flat chested, with broad shoulders, large hips and a slim waist. I didn’t think being broad and slim was possible until I saw Shyvana, so thank you Shyvana.
Yaska is a stoic woman. She doesn’t like to speak if she doesn’t have to, and ends conversations quickly when possible. Yaska makes jokes at weird times and often with precise comedic timing; the Plainkind are known for their unexpected senses of humor. If you do manage to get her to speak more than a sentence, you will find a woman full of conviction and drive, but lacking goals to aspire to. She has passion, but nothing to be passionate about.
Yaska comes from a culture where killing non-Plainkind people is considered unremarkable. That is, it’s like squishing a bug. No one cares, and it happens on occasion. Yaska feels no remorse for killing humans, but does not (often) seek it out. But if killing is a means to her ends, then she will consider it as an option.
Powers – “Demon” / Shriken
Shriken Physique – Yaska can overpower anyone in close combat. She is a capable hand to hand fighter, almost as good with fists as she is with the sword. Demon skin is tough as leather. This mixed with her muscle mass makes Yaska a naturally armoured and powerful fighter.
Flight – Yaska has large, adjustable wings. When closed, they measure six feet tall, and don’t extend past her arms, like a cape. (Capes are cool.) They can be half extended to increase combat maneuverability, and fully extended for true flight. She can fly at 65mph.
Demon of the Plains – Yaska has an uncanny sense of sight and hearing. If given ten or so seconds to focus, her eyes can see objects over 2000 yards away with clarity. Her hearing is better than that of a standard hunter, very good. Her sense of smell is lacking.
Ultimate – Shriken Focus: Yaska’s eyes turn bright red for the duration. Yaska can see an enemies movements just as they begin, and by watching muscle twitch and slight shifts in footing, she can predict, dodge or counter attacks. Her speed increases to match, but her strength remains the same. This form has a time limit of 63 seconds. It is sometimes used for scouting in rough terrain. Of course it can only be activated once, and then she needs to sleep afterward.
Recharge – Lots of raw meat is necessary. It could be human or not.
Non Conduit Abilities – (Physical and Mental)
Myrmidon – Long ago Yaska gave up her up heavy hunting sword for the simple one and a half hander, a bastard sword. The lighter weapon enabled her to hone her technique and skill. After 400 days of training, Yaska increased the weight of her sword in order to take full advantage of her demonic strength.
The Plainkind have very large brain capacities and can remember things with high acuity. The downside is that new things come hard to them. Yaska takes two to three times as long to learn new things as other people, but her retention and recall ability are very high. Yaska is convinced she is not a conduit. As she would say, “I fought hard for my abilities. They were not handed to me.” If she found out she was, it would cause at least a bit of inner turmoil. Shriken is what she calls her abilities, similar to a demon.
Yaska is a master of momentum based physics and employs it in her swordfighting.
Like Chloe, Yaska is from another world. Unlike Chloe, she came here on purpose and remembers how it happened.
When Yaska was young she lived a boring life in the desert. She was the village hunter. When she turned 23 Chloe Rhye, one of the Princes of the Solune kingdom, came to her village and recruited her as a temporary member of the King’s new army. The army staved off an national threat with the help of Yaska and other elites.
A few years after, Chloe went missing. Yaska knew her only in passing and didn’t bother to look until she was requested to by Chloe’s older sister (Janna Rhye). Yaska quickly learned that Chloe had angered gods and had been mistakenly warped to another world. She contacted a scientist in a neighboring kingdom (Bradley Jeremy, of the East Metch Kingdom) and they worked together on portal craft.
After over seven months of failure, Chloe opened a portal to her homeworld, Däwngale, from her side. But it was only one way…
Chloe looked at the creature in the portal. It acknowledges her but looks past, examining the unusual landscape behind Chloe. On closer examination, the creature is clearly female, with thick tanned reddish flesh and large bat wings. Her hair stands out, a shiny sand colour.
With the newfound information and location of Chloe, Yaska and Bradley quickly created a Stone Gate and sent Yaska through; armed with the knowledge necessary to make another portal and bring Chloe home… Except of course that the laws of physics on Däwngale are completely different to those of Earth, making all calculations useless.
Yaska opened the portal from her side, for the second time. This time Chloe was not around to close it. She gingerly stepped into New Erath, aware that she might never return.
“So, this is where you now reside, is it Chloe?”
She looked around. The sun was bright, much brighter than the sun in her world. The wind blew. Yaska unfurled her demon wings, extended them to their full span, eight feet long each, and caught the wind. She searched the city… Looking for Chloe, looking for the man she saw the first time the portal opened…
Queue theme song She searched, soaring over the city, casting momentary shadows upon human, vampire and conduit equally. A demonic voice in the back of her mind spoke, it itched for a fight.
